Running, levelled up
Training that plays like a game.
RUSA turns a real running plan into a path you climb. Finish a workout, earn XP, level up — and watch the next marker unlock.
In development. iPhone first.
How it works
Every run moves you forward.
The plan is real coaching — intervals, threshold work, long runs. The progression on top is what gets you out the door.
Run it your way
Use whatever you already run with. Finish, then pull the run in from Apple Health and log it against the workout.
Earn XP, gain levels
Harder workouts pay more. XP builds your level, which never goes down — every run you have ever done still counts.
Climb the ranks
Rank moves separately, and it reflects recent consistency. Start at Jogger and work toward Dasher — each tier multiplies the XP you earn while you keep training.
- Jogger 1×
- Pacer 1.2×
- Strider 1.5×
- Racer 1.75×
- Dasher 2×
Seven kinds of workout
Not every run costs the same.
Each type has its own colour, its own reward, and its own recovery before the next one opens up.
No missed days
Nothing is tied to a date.
Most plans hand you a calendar and let you fall behind it. RUSA counts nights of recovery instead. Rest as long as you need — the next workout is waiting when you get back, exactly where you left it.
There is no streak to break and nothing to apologise for.
What that looks like
Ran hard on Tuesday?
Thursday's threshold session opens when you have had the nights to
absorb it — not because the calendar says Thursday.
Away for two weeks?
Come back and pick up the same workout. Your level is untouched.
Plans
Pick a goal worth chasing.
Each plan is a full path, built end to end, finishing at a boss run.
5K in 30 min
Break the 30-minute barrier. Eight weeks of structured intervals, threshold runs and long runs to build the speed and endurance you need.
5K → 10K in 60 min
Build from a solid 5K base to crossing the 10K finish line in under 60 minutes.
